Com o marketing viral da Sony Pictures a assumir um destaque e um nível nunca antes visto no mercado norte-americano e internacional, foi revelado entretanto um novo trailer de oito minutos de The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, de David Fincher.
Entretanto no site dos Nine Inche Nails, de Trent Reznor, autor da banda sonora, foi anunciada a possibilidade de se fazer pré-encomenda da mesma em vários formatos, incluindo uma belíssima versão deluxe em metal.

Esta versão de David Fincher do romance sueco é protagonizado por Daniel Craig (Casino Royale) e Rooney Mara (The Social Network), o filme conta ainda com Stellan Skarsgård, Robin Wright e Christopher Plummer, entre outros.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo estreia a 19 de Janeiro de 2012 em Portugal.
