Os críticos de San Diego atribuíram dez nomeações a Nightcrawler para os seus prémios anuais, incluindo Melhor Filme, Melhor Realizador (Dan Gilroy) e Melhor Actor (Jake Gyllenhaal). Gone Girl e The Grand Budapest Hotel ficaram-se pelas oito nomeações, cada um. Os vencedores de 2014 serão conhecidos a 15 de Dezembro.
