Já vem tarde, mas a verdade é que antes de serem anunciados os Óscares, no dia anterior decorreu a cerimónia dos Independent Spirit Awards, os prémios do cinema independente que nos últimos anos nos tem trazido excelentes filmes. Embora Winter's Bone (7 nomeações) e The Kids Are All Right (5 nomeações) fossem os mais nomeados, quem acabou por se destacar foi Black Swan que venceu em todas as categorias para que estava nomeado, ganhando assim quatro prémios.
