Foram anunciados os nomeados aos Cinema Eye Honors que premeiam os melhores filmes de não-ficção/documentários do ano e os seus realizadores. Criados pela primeira vez em 2008 já galardoaram filmes como Man on Wire (2008), The Cove (2009) e Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010). Entre os nomeados deste ano surge uma nomeação para uma curta-metragem de Tim Hetherington, fotógrafo e jornalista britânico, falecido este ano na Líbia.
