"Kung Fu Panda 2" lidera as nomeações para os Annie Awards 2011

Está a acontecer de novo e não é de estranhar. Kung Fu Panda 2 lidera as nomeações para os Annie Awards 2011, os mais importantes prémios da animação, com doze no total. Este ano é provável que se volte a dar uma vitória significativa da Dreamworks, tal como tem vindo a ser habitual. Ao contrário do que tem acontecido, por exemplo, nos Óscares, onde a supremacia da Pixar tem sido evidente. Este acontecimento  tem vindo a ser ainda mais evidente após o afastamento da Disney/Pixar da ASIFA - International Animated Film Society que surgiu após severas críticas ao sistema de voto, visto que a integração do conselho acontece através da compra do lugar e não por convite (a Dreamworks atribui bónus aos seus colaboradores que integram tal conselho). Isto revelou-se ainda mais evidente no ano em que Kung Fu Panda venceu dez prémios contra o favorito WALL·E.

Este ano porém, a oferta da Dreamworks é claramente superior à da Pixar, que com Cars 2 tem aqui o seu trabalho menos unânime. O ano passado, o filme How to Train Your Dragon foi o grande vencedor, competindo com Toy Story 3.
